Worm hogs are a species of worm that first appear in the episode "FarmerBob." They are the undersea equivalent of pigs.
Description[]
They are big, fat, and pink, with light yellow eyes with black pupils, wide mouths, curly tails, and small ears.
Role in series[]
"FarmerBob"[]
Old Man Jenkins owns a group of worm hogs that he keeps in a pen. They appear when Jenkins asks SpongeBob and Patrick to feed his worms as their second chore on his farm. SpongeBob gives them some slop, which Patrick eats as well. Patrick kicks a small worm hog away from the food, so SpongeBob feeds some slop to it. It is very hungry and swallows him whole, but it eventually spits him and his clothes out which leaves him very disgusted.
"A Place for Pets"[]
Old Man Jenkins has one in the Krusty Krab as his pet.
"Blood is Thicker Than Grease"[]
A worm hog named Elmer appears as the pet of Ma and Pa Plankton. They give him his own luxury feeding trough in their minivan. Plankton winds up getting chewed up and spitted out by Elmer.
"Pet the Rock"[]
One is shown at Pets!
Trivia[]
- They are similar in appearance and color scheme to the spotted glistening meadow worms from "Pet or Pests."
- They are one of the few worms in the series to not be equivalent to dogs.
