"Who's Complaining?" is a Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years episode from season 2. In this episode, Mr. Krabs puts Squidward in charge of Kamp Koral's complaint department.

Characters[]

Synopsis[]

Squidward wakes up and keeps stepping on loose floorboards around the cabin. Walking to Krabs' office to complain, he notices the camp's structures falling apart. Krabs is apathetic and tells him he needs to file his complaints in the designated box, which Krabs keeps intentionally out of the way, on top of a tall tree behind his office. Determined, Squidward climbs up and ends up getting the box down. He leaves complaints over multiple weeks, with the box overflowing. Squidward takes them to Krabs, who says he needs to take them to the complaint's officer, then forces the job onto Squidward with the threat of being demoted from junior counselor otherwise.

Who's Complaining 083

SpongeBob fixing the cabin's loose floorboards.

Taking the complaints back to his room, Squidward complains that he has to do all the work himself. SpongeBob and Patrick come in, so he convinces them to do the work for him by promising a badge. They start by fixing the loose floorboards, but Squidward finds that they nailed his foot to the ground, and worries that SpongeBob and Patrick will do the work incorrectly, so he follows them around.

They go to Bubble Bass, who complains that the table in his cabin is slanted. SpongeBob and Patrick fix it by attaching the cabin to Perch's watch tower to tilt the entire cabin so that the table is the only thing right-side up. Upturn complains about the view of garbage from her cabin, so SpongeBob and Patrick paint a nice scenery on a tarp and put it in front of her. Elwood complains that the camp does not have enough wind for kite-flying, so SpongeBob and Patrick set up a giant fan to fix it. Next, a complaint comes in that the lake is too cold, leading SpongeBob and Patrick to heat it up by peeing in it.

For the next complaint, a girl has lost her ball inside a cave. Not wanting SpongeBob and Patrick to mess it up, Squidward goes in twice and gets mauled by a sea bear. A montage shows them addressing the rest of the complaints in various strange ways, until all of them have been solved. Krabs congratulates Squidward, who gets hit by a loose floorboard during his response. Patrick fixes it by taking a nail from the same place he got the rest: Perch's watchtower.

Squidward shoved in the complaints box.

The watchtower falls apart and flings Bubble Bass's cabin, causing a destructive chain reaction across the camp involving the various fixes SpongeBob and Patrick made. It ends with Krabs' office being smashed. Krabs shoves Squidward into the complaints box.

Production notes[]

  • The gag featuring Patrick throwing a kid off of a cliff was one April "Pinkie" Davis expected to get cut from the episode by Standards and Practices, as she said that 90% of gag pitches like these have been turned down and are only meant to make the crew laugh, with this one being a joke for Keith Silva. This joke ended up going into the final episode.[7]
