The warden is a fish who appears in the episode "The Inmates of Summer" and the Nintendo DS version of the video game SpongeBob's Boating Bash. He keeps the prison Inferno Island in order.
Description
He is a tall, lavender fish who wears an olive green suit with a green tie and a hat.
Role in episode
He is very cruel to SpongeBob and Patrick, even though they are not supposed to be at the prison making him the main antagonist. He acts like a military sergeant/prison guard and is tough. He is very harsh to the criminals and hates almost everything except the play that SpongeBob arranges.
When the scoutmaster of SpongeBob‘ s troop arrives, the Warden is disgusted to hear all of the activities that the camp has to go through. When he remarks that not even a vilest of people deserve that, the Warden just an idea to punish the inmates for trying to escape by making them go through the camps activities .

- R. Lee Ermey, the Warden's voice actor, was best known for playing gruff military roles based on his performance of Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from the 1987 Stanley Kubrick film Full Metal Jacket. Despite being a prison warden, the character acts like a stereotypical drill sergeant.
- The warden is similar to the warden in the novel and its movie adaptation, Holes.
