Idk why I'm making this review at 6 in the morning where I am, but ok. (Also, the only reason I made a double review was because I didn't make a review yesterday, btw)

Gullible Pants[]

This episode is really funny. I wouldn't really call it anything that has me dying of laughter, but it's probably one of the season's funniest episodes.

Once SpongeBob gets put in charge by Mr. Krabs for 15 minutes, this episode starts to become funny. I like how Squidward here is taking advantage of SpongeBob's gullible personality by telling him all these Krusty Krab secrets, and how it goes from him telling SpongeBob about his regularly scheduled naps to the Krusty Krab being a filthy mess. My favorite part of this episode has to be when Squidward tells SpongeBob that some random guy wants to be a fry cook and that SpongeBob is his hero, which I found to be hilarious. What makes the secrets that Squidward tells SpongeBob to be even better is that the secrets actually kind of make sense if you don't look too far into them, like how SpongeBob's feet are cleaner than his hands because they're protected by his socks all day, or SpongeBob making the Krusty Krab a dump on purpose to set "low expectations." I also found SpongeBob dancing and the customers being scared of it to be funny.

Yeah, there isn't a whole lot I have to say here, because this episode as a whole is pretty much a huge jokefest. I wouldn't really call its plot outstanding or whatever since it's pretty much just Squid's Day Off but with SpongeBob in charge instead of Squidward, but the comedy is mostly what keeps me coming back to this one.

Overbooked[]

Overbooked title card

It's kinda weird how I really like this episode and its sister, yet I like them for completely different reasons. While Gullible Pants was pretty much an episode based on its jokes, this one focuses more on its plot than comedy, and I must say that I enjoy this one a lot more.

I like how you can pretty much tell that the plot is gonna be amazing here just from the setup. I find it really interesting how SpongeBob has to do things for all three of his friends at once, which is something that doesn't sound physically possible. Once you get past the setup, this episode becomes really interesting. There's so much going on at once in this one and I love it for that because it makes the episode more exciting to watch. I also enjoy the tension that this episode builds and how it pretty much boils down to SpongeBob running back and forth from his friends' houses naked, which was pretty hilarious. The whole twist that SpongeBob could be in three places at once because of Sandy's invention was interesting and some pretty good irony.

I will say that aside from a few jokes, like the "Sorry about the scabies" cake, this episode isn't that funny. But this episode's awesome plot and how intense and exciting it is to watch because of how much goes on during the episode brings it up a lot for me.

No Hat for Pat[]

No Hat for Pat title card

This episode is awesome. A lot of people consider this one of the best season 6 episodes, and I can definitely see why.

One of the things I really like about this episode is that it uses something as simple as a hat as a recurring theme throughout the episode and how the Krusty Krab hat means so much to Patrick. I find the scenes with Patrick directing people to the Krusty Krab by holding a sign to be hilarious because of how he doesn't know how to do something as simple as hold a sign. I also found Mr. Krabs telling him to give the sign a twirl and Patrick literally twirling the sign and blowing the tourists away to be really funny. I also like the scenes with Patrick repeatedly falling. I get why someone could find these scenes repetitive, but I honestly really like how this episode shows that people can find the simplest things entertainment, like a person falling down.

Eventually, this episode goes from simply having Patrick falling down to him falling into a bucket of spiny sea urchins. I also like the whole twist that it was the hat that was making Patrick fall down the whole time, and Mr. Krabs actually gets comeuppance. I also really love this episode's epilogue with SpongeBob telling Patrick that he can wear his hat anytime, which I found a really heartwarming way to end this episode. There really isn't anything I can complain about with this episode, as it has some great comedy and amazing characterization for Patrick.

Toy Store of Doom[]

Toy Store of Doom title card

I honestly really like this episode. It has an awesome concept and some pretty good humor to go along with it.

This episode starts off with SpongeBob and Patrick being bored, which is a kind of dragged out scene, but it's supposed to be dragged out to emphasize how bored they are. I found the whole twist that they were actually in Squidward's house to be pretty funny. After that SpongeBob and Patrick see a sign that says something is coming, and it turns out to be a toy store but it's not open yet. I will admit that this is a pretty filler-ish scene, as they could have easily shown the toy store already open and not have an entire scene with SpongeBob and Patrick crying. Luckily, the second half is when this episode becomes really good.

The whole plot with SpongeBob and Patrick staying inside a toy store after it closes is a pretty creative idea, and I think that this episode executes it pretty well. I like how this episode takes advantage of SB and Patrick's childish personalities but doesn't make the plot so damn boring, like them waiting for a toy or something. Once the toy store closes, SpongeBob and Patrick have fun until the lights go out and they run around screaming, and we also get some pretty funny lines from Patrick saying that he can't hear SpongeBob because it's too dark, or him having a flashlight in his brain for some reason. I also really like the atmosphere here because of the toy store being a pretty creative setting. After that SB and Patrick dress up as soldiers to fight a freaking toy robot, and once the toy store opens they run out and Patrick immediately goes back inside once he sees that it's open, which I found to be hilarious.

With some nice visuals and a great atmosphere along with an awesome plot, this is yet another overhated and underrated season 6 episode. It does have some flaws that I already mentioned, but aside from those problems this is a very great episode.
