Hello Encyclopedia SpongeBobia, it is of great disappointment that I will be resigning from my discussion moderator and rollback roles as of 6 days from now and officially going into semi-retirement, similarly to how active I was during most of 2023-2024. This has been an incredibly hard decision for me to make, but I know that I have nothing else to give on this wiki after just over 5 years of creating my account. This wiki has certainly, in every shape and form possible, transformed my life and gave me some of the skills needed for adult life, especially during my 2 spells as a discussion moderator. I understand that my 2nd spell may have been a short 101 days (just over 3 months) but I can say that my return to Encyclopedia SpongeBobia between October 2024 and October 2025 has been the best I ever felt contributing to this wiki. I thought after losing my rights in May 2023 that it would be impossible to retain them, especially since I needed to regain the trust of the community but you all gave me a second chance and I managed to understand the community as well in my 2nd term too.
My history at Encyclopedia SpongeBobia and the SpongeBob community in general has been an interesting story, since I have had in total 5 spells of being active on the SpongeBob community, from the age of 10 right up to now where I am 18. Although I joined at a very young age of just 12 years old, the community (especially the old Forums) were quick to accept me and I became a well-known forums contributor as part of the "golden age" of the social aspects of the wiki. In 2022, I became a crew member for the very first time, showing that I had the passion to go on and be a leader for the social side of the wiki even though I was still just 14. And then there was 2025, where I felt like a veteran yet still needed to adapt to another generation of ESB users. I can say that I am grateful for everyone I've come across, as I have witnessed the kindness and joy of 3 separate generations of ESB users who have accepted me no matter whether I was younger or older than them. I would like to give a massive shoutout to everyone who has supported me both in the past and present from every single year that I have been here and that I enjoyed the online company of every single one of the people on my lists.
As for what will happen next, I will be starting a rigorous Mathematics-related course at a really prestigious UK university, where my hope is to get a financial-related job in a couple of years time, so the pressure has been put on me up until about 2030. Over the past 2 weeks I have had barely any time to sit in my room and reflect on the events that have happened, so this was actually my first opportunity to do so in such fashion. And as for the logistics of what will happen next for the administrators, I wish to be demoted on the day of the next URR (October 15th) at exactly midnight 3am UTC, as I will not be participating in the next URR but I will still vote for it, with it being one of the final contributions I will ever make here. However, I will not be terminating my account, as this place does have history for me and I do actually care about ESB and I don't want my account with over 20,000 edits to go to waste, as other ESB legends have done in the past. As for my bot, I would still want it to keep bot status, as I might still come back to the wiki at a random date in the future to run some errands, some of which are related to creating galleries for ESB as I have done many times this summer. I have nothing really else to say, except thank you to every single person who has helped me on this amazing journey and I wish good luck to every user who stays active on this wiki as I really do care about this place, even if I have nothing else left to give to ESB myself.
