Location

The Upturn Museum of Upscale Art is a museum that appears in the The Patrick Star Show episode "Now Museum, Now You Don't."

Description[]

Exterior[]

The museum has a tall staircase with two corals and statues of fish-like creatures, each pointing with their pinky finger. It has a round, yellow roof with a statue of Lady Upturn's head at the front, also pointing with her pinky finger. There is a golden-framed sign with the name of the place written in red text.

Interior[]

The hallways in the museum have blue floors and yellow walls adorned with numerous paintings and fewer statues.

Role in episode[]

Bunny reveals that Cecil got a new job at the museum, where he goes to work on roller skates. Lady Upturn tells Cecil at the museum to take care of the collection as it took a long time to build. Upturn instructs Cecil not to let anyone in, so he throws everyone out of the museum, even Lady Upturn. When Cecil patrols, he damages paintings out of foolishness, then throws a statue out of the museum, thinking it's a burglar. Patrick, dressed as a thief, goes to the museum to give Cecil his special security guard underwear, which he forgot at home. Patrick manages to enter the museum, triggering the security breach alarm. Cecil becomes alert and starts searching for the intruder, but he accidentally runs into a bucket of white paint, covering himself white. Patrick and Cecil meet, but they mistake each other for a "ghost" and a burglar. They start chasing each other, destroying numerous paintings in the process. Patrick, tired of the chase, sets a trap for Cecil and jumps on him from a statue. When they break paintings on each other, Cecil realizes it was Patrick all along. After the father and son reunite, Patrick gives Cecil his security guard underwear. Lady Upturn returns to her museum, seeing the chaos they did, she physically replaces the destroyed paintings with them.

Trivia[]

  • The exterior design of the Bikini Bottom Museum of Everything is reused for this place, but with Upturn's face on the front and the sign changed.
    • As this is a prequel series, it's completely possible Upturn sold it between the events of The Patrick Star Show and SpongeBob SquarePants.
