SpongeBob and Patrick march through the former's garden when Squidward looks out the window and asks what they are doing. Patrick tells Squidward that talking to plants helps them grow faster. SpongeBob also adds to what Patrick said and tells Squidward that singing could help grow his daffodils. Squidward is about to tell them to be quiet when something very big blocks out the light from the sun. Everyone in Bikini Bottom thinks there are aliens coming. Patrick starts running in circles because he is scared. But Squidward heads home. Then Sandy thinks it might not be the end of the world but something they did not understand. SpongeBob and Sandy are not scared anymore, and Patrick decides that he should not be scared and joins SpongeBob and Sandy's team. They decide to go in Sandy's rocket to see what is blocking the light. Patrick also got some sandwiches because rockets make him hungry. They all buckle up (Patrick helped his sandwiches buckle up). Back at Squidward's house, he sees how dark the shadow is, now he's scared. Mrs. Puff knocks on the door and asks Squidward if he wanted to hide with them. He then started to play his clarinet while saying "No, I'm not scared, I am playing my clarinet. It sounded worse than usual. Squidward then crawls under his bed. SpongeBob, Sandy, and Patrick get closer to what is blocking the light, and Patrick is getting more scared. It is Stan the Manta who was back from school. They bring Stan back to Bikini Bottom and play a game Patrick made called run-and-hide-and-seek. If Squidward would have played, he would have won. Instead, he stayed under his bed for two weeks.
