"Twas the Night Before Spongemas" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode, produced as a stand-alone special for season 13. • This is the fourth Christmas special, following "Christmas Who?," "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!," and "SpongeBob's Road to Christmas," and the sixth episode to feature a Christmas theme after "Christmas Who?," "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!," "Goons on the Moon," "Plankton's Old Chum," and "SpongeBob's Road to Christmas," despite the third episode and fourth episode not directly being about Christmas.
  • Including The Patrick Star Show and Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years, this is also the franchise's eighth episode to include a Christmas theme.
• This special aired as part of "12 Days of Nickmas," an event where Nick aims to premiere new content everyday leading up to Christmas. This is similar to the previous premiere event, Nickelodeon's Gobble Wobble Thanksgiving! Week - albeit, on a slightly larger scale.
