The Trusty Slab is the fast-food restaurant located in the surface world in the episode "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout" and the Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years "What About Meep?" It is a reenactment of the Krusty Krab.

The outside of the restaurant is painted white with sky blue borders. On top of the restaurant reads "The Trusty Slab" in light red letters, similar to those on the Krusty Krab clam sign. It has many see-through windows and a push-pull door. On the upper left side of the building, it reads "Breakfast Lunch Dinner" in white letters.

  • This location marks the second time that Patchy and Potty go to a live-action restaurant. The first time was when they were working at The Poop Deck in "Friend or Foe."
  • Its rival restaurant is the Crumb Basket.
  • Mike's Diner in Castaic, California, located north of Los Angeles, served as the filming site for the Trusty Slab. The local business closed during production, though its owners were on hand for the shoot. Producers gave Mike's Diner extra plates and baskets as a thank you for use of the location.[1]
  • The set of the Trusty Slab was only temporary and was taken down when the live-action bits were finished filming, as seen at the end of this video in the background.
