Thomas James Kenny (born July 9, 1962) is an American voice actor and comedian. He does the voice for SpongeBob. He also voices Gary the Snail, Patchy the Pirate, the Narrator and the French Narrator.
Kenny is a well-known voice actor in the community. He has voiced many characters in the series Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Camp Lazlo, Rocko's Modern Life, Out of Jimmy's Head, Transformer Animated, and Futurama, among others and he did the Narrator and the Mayor of Townsville on The Powerpuff Girls, he did Darth Mall from 6Teen, and Ice King from Adventure Time With Finn & Jake.
He has also appeared in the first 3 seasons of the HBO sketch-comedy series "Mr. Show", as well as the music video for The Smashing Pumpkins' "Tonight, Tonight" (with co-star and wife Jill Talley). He also currently hosts "Funday Night at the Movies" on TCM.
