"The Wrath of Shmandor" is a The Patrick Star Show episode from season 2. In this episode, the tiny futuristic city of Shmandor exacts revenge on Patrick.
Characters[]
Synopsis[]
One day in Shmandor, president Rubedor is informed by one of his scientists that he has brought television to the town. The first show on is Patrick's, which involves him playing with bombs. The Shmandorians all imitate Patrick and end up exploding the city. Realizing that Patrick's influence is corrupting the city, Rubedor commands his scientist to send out the Shmamandos.
After the Shmamandos say goodbye to their families, they go out to destroy Patrick. However, their ship is smashed by pieces of Cecil's trail mix, and some of their men are sucked up by Bunny's vacuum. They all retreat back to Shmandor, only to notice the TV is still on. Patrick puts on a helmet and drains it, causing him to dry up, which the Shmandorians again copy. The Shmandorian sergeant takes his ship out again and fires missiles at Patrick, which end up breaking his helmet and rehydrating him.
Patrick's next sketch involves him imitating a stereotypical French person. The Shmamandos launch a jetpack assault and circle Patrick's head as he tries to eat stinky cheese. Squidina mistakes the sound for flies and calls in Bunny, who uses her flyswatter to smash them. The Shmamandos then move in to attack Patrick's head, while he tries to see how many chili dogs he can eat in a minute. As the Shmamandos are climbing up Patrick's butt, his resulting fart blows them away, and they go back home.
As the only one left, the sergeant climbs up to Patrick's head and hooks his radio signal up to Patrick's brain. Patrick's eyes glow blue as he broadcasts a message to the citizens of Shmandor, that they must destroy him. As he continues chanting, the Shmandors climb up to Patrick and attack him, engulfing him entirely. Squidina merely thinks Patrick is covered in bugs and puts a fumigation tent over him.
Squidina inspects the "bugs" with a magnifying glass and finds the Shmandorian scientist. Once she hears about the damage Patrick's show has caused to their society, she advises that they simply turn the TV off. The scientist rushes home with the solution, only to be trampled by the other Shmandorians. Meanwhile, Squidina asks Patrick if he is ready to continue the show. He ominously replies, "affirmative," his brain still being taken over by the sergeant, who survived by wearing a gas mask.

Trivia[]

- The Shmandorians previously got their revenge on Patrick and his family in "The Patrick Show Cashes In," where Rubedor shook the Star family up in a snow globe after they got that treatment in a commercial presenting them in a snow globe.
- This episode was originally going to premiere at 5:00pm, but it was moved to 4:00pm.
- This episode was paired up with a rerun of "Family Plotz" during the original American airing.[7]
- When Sarge takes over Patrick's brain, Patrick's eyes turn in static. The same thing happens to Andy in "Fun & Done!"
- This episode was originally going to premiere in the UK and Ireland on February 20, 2024, but got replaced with the premiere of "The Commode Episode."
Episode references[]
- Bunny uses her flyswatting skills established in "Klopnodian Heritage Festival," complete with saying "Foinsapp!" as she attacks the Shmandorians.
Cultural references[]
- The Shmandorians' intro and their world is presented in the beginning a parody of The Jetsons.
- The way that the Shmandorians get changed parodies the way that George Jetson does, although it is more simplified.
- Rubedor's role in the opening seem to mirror Mr. Spacely's mannerisms, and the Shmandorian scientist is similar to his nephew, Orwell.
- That series was previously referenced in "Shrinking Stars," as after the Stars adjust to living in Shmandor, Patrick, Cecil, and Bunny dress up like George, Elroy, and Rosie the Robot.
- Ironically, in that episode, Shmandor was accepting of Patrick and his family, while in this episode, they submit to war against him.
- Sarge says, "War... war never changes," a quote originating from the Fallout series.
