Trivia[]
- Whenever The Tickler talks, his voice is out of sync with the animation. However, this may not be an error, but rather a reference to the fact that old Japanese films (like martial arts films, which this episode is a stylistic parody of) would have out of sync speech when dubbed into English.
- The Tickler himself is an adult joke/innuendo; being French, his name is a pun on "French tickler."
- His weakness being jelly-filled doughnuts is a reference to the Pokémon anime's infamous 4Kids dub, in which Brock repeatedly refers to rice balls (onigiri) as jelly-filled donuts; presumably as an attempt to better appeal to western cultures.
