"The Starry Awards" is a The Patrick Star Show episode from season 1. In this episode, Patrick hosts an award ceremony.

Synopsis[]

The Star family is having breakfast, as they wonder where Patrick is. Patrick surprises Cecil with a "#1 Dad" mug for Father's Day. Despite stating Father's Day was last year, Cecil appreciates the present. Cecil and GrandPat fight over the mug. Patrick then overhears Cecil saying "awards," giving him the idea to host an award ceremony. Patrick and Squidina hold preparations for the award ceremony at their house. Part of the preparations are held in Granny Tentacles' house, with some spotlights placed in her bedroom, which burn her eyes.

Patrick and Squidina introduce the Starry Awards, with Patrick singing a song that wins the "Best Song" award. Next door, Granny Tentacles groans and mocks the award show. Her eyes are burned off again by another spotlight, further irritating her as she plans to sabotage the award show. Patrick then introduces the nominees for the "Best Bite" award, consisting of him being bitten by Tinkle, Nosferatu, a zombie lady, and himself. Patrick spins a wheel to decide the winner, due to running out of envelopes. Patrick throws a dart to stop the wheel, though it ends up hitting Slappy, so Patrick gives him the award.

Patrick next introduces the nominees for "Best Cutaway Segment," consisting of Captain Quasar and Pat-Tron, Pat the Hapless, Patrick CaveStar, and Dr. Plankenstein. A cut is shown to Dr. Plankenstein, SpongeMonster, and Pat-gor. Dr. Plankenstein at first does not care about award shows, but is revealed the winner of the award. He uses one of his inventions to make himself, SpongeMonster, and Pat-gor two-dimensional so that they can receive the award. On stage, the three get into a fight and are thrown by Patrick into a trophy.

Granny Tentacles sneaks on stage, attempting to drop a sandbag on Patrick, but is stopped by a production member who asks her to show an ID badge. Granny Tentacles tricks him into handing her his ID badge, and calls security on him since he no longer has his badge. Patrick is about to introduce the "Best Stunt" award, but gets launched into the air and electrocuted due to the sandbag landing near him. Due to this stunt, Patrick himself is declared the winner. Granny Tentacles gets annoyed as the sandbag ends up landing on her, and then burned by another spotlight.

Patrick next does the "In Memoriam" segment, where Lenny becomes a ghost after a light falls on him. Granny Tentacles walks back to her house, where the crew replace the spotlights with even brighter ones, further angering her. Granny Tentacles sabotages the next award, placing a bomb inside it. Squidina grabs the award to present it.

Unknown to Granny Tentacles, the award is a "Best Neighbor Ever" award, which is given to her. Granny Tentacles, to her surprise, accepts the award and is about to apologize for placing the bomb, which goes off. Due to the explosion, Patrick, Squidina, and Granny Tentacles become ghosts and join the audience. Cecil is shown enjoying his mug, although GrandPat pops out of it, and tries to run in the mug, with Cecil chasing him.

On October 25, 2022, Anuardi José Cantre Santiago, a member of The Patrick Star Show's stop-motion crew, posted an image of him and SpongeMonster on set for the stop-motion segments of this episode.[2]
