General[]

Two types of cases exist for this tape: a slipcover one and a clamshell one.
The spine of the tape shows a picture of SpongeBob wearing a Goofy Goober hat.

The Complete 2nd Season DVD early artwork.

This VHS tape contains a trailer for Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events and a promo for The Complete 2nd Season DVD box set. Also, the latter's trailer still has the prototype cover, despite this VHS tape coming out after the official DVD cover was released.
This is the only SpongeBob SquarePants theatrical movie to have a VHS release, as tape cassettes were very much obsolete by the time The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water was released in 2015, being surpassed by DVDs in 2006.
This marks the last animated Nickelodeon film to have a VHS release.
