He is a robotic purple fish with pink lips and fins, screws on his cheeks and elbows, and metallic joints for his mouth. He wears a large light brown turban decorated with a blue and yellow jewel and pink feather, a dull blue collared shirt, and a brown vest. He often malfunctions and randomly short-circuits.
Wumbozi is stationed in a wooden fortune teller booth decorated with many lights, red curtains, purple panels with golden decorations, a large "W" at the booth's top, and his name at the booth's base. The sides of the booth are two golden mechanical seahorses, a red lever is attached to the booth's right side, and a small slot is at the front to deposit fortunes.

SpongeBob's Game Frenzy
Mr. Krabs gets The Great Wumbozi in order to draw income for the Krusty Krab. Krabs notices Wumbozi's malfunctions and goes to get the instructions, leaving SpongeBob and Patrick with Wumbozi. Wumbozi encourages the two to get the fortunes told, making them do some mini-games in the process.
After SpongeBob and Patrick get Wumbozi to tell their fortunes, they realize that Wumbozi is capable of manipulating time and space, merging the Krusty Krab with the Chum Bucket and making Plankton the boss of Mr. Krabs. Wumbozi reveals his maliciousness and claims that the two will never fix the damage unless they collect all 60 of his fortune cards, and gives the two a book to hold their card collection.
- The "Wumbozi" part of his name comes from Patrick's "Wumbo" gag from the episode "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy IV."
