"The Drooling Fool" is a The Patrick Star Show episode from season 1. In this episode, Patrick's uncontrollable drooling gets out of hand... and mouth.

Characters[]

Synopsis[]

The episode begins with an advertisement for the Frozen Falls Water Park, which entirely consists of ice cream. Patrick is shown enjoying the activities, until the events are revealed to be a dream. Squidina enters Patrick's room to wake him up and notices Patrick's excessive drooling.

Squidina decides to use Patrick's drooling for entertainment, presenting Patrick as the Dancing Drooler on The Patrick Show! Patrick, needing to go to the bathroom, tries to open his door, resulting in a flood within the house. The flood reaches the bathroom, where Bunny is taking a bath. GrandPat tries to stop the flood, only to be hit by Patrick's drool, which ends up reaching the entire neighborhood.

The Drooling Fool 092

Patrick's drooling floods the town.

Cecil tries to stop Patrick's drooling with a cork, but Patrick inflates due to continual drooling, and the cork ends up hitting the helicopter where Perch Perkins and his great-grandmother were doing a news report. Bunny tries to solve the problem by taping Patrick's mouth shut, only for more drool to release out of Patrick's nostrils, which results in Bikini Bottom becoming flooded. The Star family see an ad for Dr. Plumber and decide that he can help Patrick's drooling problem, so they drive through the town to find him.

The Drooling Fool 132

Patrick's drool takes the family through town.

Tinkle chases the family through town, as they attempt to use Patrick's drooling for further energy. Dr. Plumber shows up and stops Tinkle with his plunger. He finds Tinkle's brain, which is revealed to be irregularly shaped as a butt. Dr. Plumber fixes Tinkle's brain, which calms him down. Dr. Plumber then uses his tools to inspect inside Patrick, and removes a clog from inside him, which only makes his drooling worse. Dr. Plumber leaves in panic, with Squidina curious about his state. The family is then shown riding Patrick like a surfboard, with GrandPat water skiing, with his drooling again being used for their help.

Squidina gets an idea about Patrick's drooling issue. One week later, the fire department go through town and notice a fire at one of the residential buildings. The fire department uses Patrick's drool to put out the fire, pulling out his tongue in the process, which happens to cure his drooling issue. Patrick walks off in happiness, as more buildings are revealed to be on a fire, with the fire department unable to use Patrick any further.

Cultural references[]

Tinkle even chomps parallel to her behind as he swims close upwards, riffing on that movie's theatrical poster.
  • Dr. Plumber's design was inspired by was inspired by John Goodman's character in the 1990 horror-comedy film, Arachnophobia.[5]

Errors[]
