Trivia
- "Frozen Face-Off," "A SquarePants Family Vacation," "Ghoul Fools," "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!," and "Hello Bikini Bottom!" are all counted as double-length episodes.
- "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" is the only episode from season 8 to be presented in a widescreen format. On this DVD, the episode "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!" is actually in full screen 4:3 letterbox with black bars on the top and bottom rather than true widescreen.
- In the French release, the box set's name is "Saison 8 - Non censurée," which translates to "Season 8 - Uncensored."
- This is the only season DVD to not have music on any of the menus.
- "Sandy's Vacation in Ruins" is paired up with the episode "A SquarePants Family Vacation" on iTunes.
- This is the last SpongeBob season DVD where each episode segment is a separate chapter. Starting with The Complete Ninth Season, the episode segments are now paired up instead of being separate chapters.
- This was the last SpongeBob season DVD to have the episode list and descriptions inside of the case until The Complete Eleventh Season released 7 years later on March 31, 2020.
- This DVD contains short previews for other Nickelodeon DVDs and films from Paramount Pictures. These include Guardians of The Galaxy, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Legend of Korra.
Errors
- On the disc 3 episode selection screen and on the back of the DVD, "Face Freeze!" is missing the exclamation point at the end of the title.
- The same error also occured on Extreme Kah-Rah-Tay.
- On the back, "Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom" is misspelled as "Smooth Jazz at Bikini Bottom."
- On the back, "InSPONGEiac" is misspelled as "InSpongeiac."
