Squilvia is an octopus who appears in the episode "Love That Squid." In the episode, Squidward goes on a date with her.

As of December 12, 2015, Squilvia is considered a minor character, as her role, along with her pairing with Squidward, is limited for that one episode and a December 18, 2019 social media image only.

Description

Squilvia has brownish-red rectangular pupils in light yellow eyes that are slightly brighter than Squidward's. She has short black hair, black eyelashes, a curved nose, and is a slightly different shade of blue than Squidward. She has the same hairstyle as Lady Squidward.

She wears a sleeveless pink dress with ruffle tips, pink lipstick, and carries a velvet purse. She talks in a poetic style. Her appearance and voice are similar to Squidette from the episode "Squidville."

Role in episode

She is seen entering the Krusty Krab ready to place an order. She finds the decor quite interesting. Squidward immediately falls in love with her and tries to talk to her, but is too nervous. SpongeBob helps him and tells Squilvia about Squidward. Squilvia agrees to go on a date with him.

Unfortunately for Squidward, it has been a long time since he last went out on an actual date, but SpongeBob offers to help him by setting him up on a "practice date." However, this goes terrible, causing Squidward to yell at SpongeBob to stay away from him, but then he turns around to see Squilvia standing there, and she admits that she witnessed the entire exchange.

At first, Squidward assumes that Squilvia will not go out with him since he acted like a jerk to SpongeBob, but Squilvia tells him that she actually likes him even more, admitting that she thinks a "guy who can't take fools lightly is 'totally dreamy.'" She then tells Squidward that they should go eat, much to his joy.

Squidward is Squilvia's appointment in the episode "Love That Squid." Although they are shown to love each other at the end, they have only been shown together in the aforementioned episode and on a December 18, 2019 social media image.

SpongeBob SquarePants

Because of SpongeBob's attempt to get her to know Squidward, Squilvia is able to make the decision to take him out on a date. SpongeBob is the one who introduces Squilvia to his friend who is unable to do so himself and tells her all about his favorite activities, hobbies, and the school he attended. Squilvia spends more time interacting with SpongeBob more than Squidward in "Love That Squid," but they never actually get to know each other.

• Squilvia is a portmanteau of "squid" and "Sylvia," the latter being a female name.
• According to a brief flashback, Squilvia is the first woman Squidward dated in a long time.
