Sandy's submarine is a large submarine owned by Sandy Cheeks. It first appears in the episode "Squidtastic Voyage" and was revealed to be named "Matilda" in the episode "Shopping List."

Description[]

"Squidtastic Voyage" and InvasiVoyage[]

It is dark lavender with dark blue borders near the windows.

"Hide and Then What Happens?"[]

It is orange with blackish-gray borders and a wide circular window in front.

"Bubble Troubles" and "It Came from Goo Lagoon"[]

It is dark red with white borders.

"Shopping List" and "Surf N' Turf"[]

It is made to look like a giant acorn.

Role in series[]

"Squidtastic Voyage"[]

SpongeBob and Patrick use the submarine to get the clarinet reed out of Squidward's body.

After dislodging the reed from Squidward's throat, Patrick accidentally turns the submarine back to large size, causing SpongeBob and him to be stuck in the vehicle, which is still inside Squidward.

"Hide and Then What Happens?"[]

SpongeBob uses it to find Patrick while they are playing hide and seek.

"Bubble Troubles"[]

Sandy uses the submarine to go to the surface to retrieve air. However, SpongeBob opens the hatch underwater, letting all the water in it, during which Sandy nearly suffocates. He and Patrick then try to pilot the submarine to the surface for Sandy, but she becomes delusional from her lack of air and crashes it into the Krusty Krab.

"It Came from Goo Lagoon"[]

Sandy, as well as Patrick and SpongeBob, follow the giant super goo bubble and find out what is causing it to move, and discover Plankton was steering it.

"Shopping List"[]

Sandy and SpongeBob use it to travel to various places to get the Krabby Patty ingredients on SpongeBob's crazy shopping list. When they manage to get everything on the list, Plankton ambushes them and steals the submarine to obtain the ingredients. Later, when Mr. Krabs reveals that the list he gave SpongeBob was fake, and that he sent him on a wild goose chase to distract Plankton while he got the real Krabby Patty ingredients, Sandy took her rage over losing Matilda (as well as almost getting them killed and making her give the hair on her tail to the Yeti Krab they encountered earlier) out on him. She then takes a bag of his money to pay for a new one before launching Mr. Krabs into the sky.

"Surf N' Turf"[]

Sandy used it to chase Mr. Krabs after he turned her tree into a giant ship and stole her house to enter it in a ship in a bottle contest. When she arrives at the contest, the submarine crashes around the building, destroying her house by accident, before landing in a fountain.

Role in games[]

InvasiVoyage[]

SpongeBob and Patrick control Sandy's submarine and go down Squidward's throat. The player moves the submarine by moving the cursor. Clicking on the mouse button shoots a projectile. Shooting at bubbles scores points.

Collecting clarinet reeds gives the following upgrades in order: rapid fire, score x2, score x4, double shot, then the rest gives 500 points.

Bumping into a bubble or the edges will remove all upgrades, reverting the submarine back to its original state.

Bumping into too many bubbles or the edges will result in a game over.

Who Is Your Super Sidekick?[]

It is one of the choices in the first question.

Doodle Jump SpongeBob SquarePants[]

It is one of the objects used to make SpongeBob go higher.
