Road Trip in 3-D! is a SpongeBob SquarePants book that was written by Adam Beechen and illustrated by Heather Martinez. It was published by Simon Spotlight/Nickelodeon on September 21, 2004 and has 24 pages in total. This book is based on The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.
The book was later reprinted for the digital book stores under the title Road Trip. It did not have the 3-D parts of the book and did not have any movie advertising. It was released on May 14, 2015.

Synopsis[]
SpongeBob and Patrick are on the ultimate road trip when they set out in the Krusty Krab Patty Wagon to save King Neptune's crown from Shell City!
They will travel through a cavernous trench and meet a monstrous frogfish, see a stampede of sea horses, and meet a giant Cyclops!
Included only in the 3D Version's synopsis: Use the 3D glasses included and watch SpongeBob and Patrick jump right off the page!
Trivia[]
- Dennis has a completely different design in this book than he does in the film. It can be assumed this was a prototype design from earlier in the film's development.
- The sea horse stampede doesn't occur in the film.
