This is the first SpongeBob DVD to contain previews, which can only be accessed through the menu. These previews include a promo for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes, and a Tak & the Power of Juju promo.
This is the first DVD with a cover to be based off a special/double-length episode.
This is the first SpongeBob DVD to feature Patrick on the front cover.
On the cover, Patrick is not wearing his tie like in the episode the cover takes place in.
This DVD includes episodes from the Bikini Bottom Bash and Deep Sea Sillies VHS tapes.
SpongeBob's line "Seriously." is removed from the episode "Party Pooper Pants" on this DVD, due to commercial breaks not being on the DVD.

Tea at the Treedome Edgar version — Edgar Larrazabal version

On the opening credits of "Tea at the Treedome" on this DVD, Edgar Larrazábal is credited as the animation director instead of Tom Yasumi. This also happens in early reruns of "Tea at the Treedome"^[1] and it's possible that this DVD uses an early airing of that episode.

Tom Yasumi version

On The Complete 1st Season, The First 100 Episodes, and 10 Happiest Moments DVD releases of "Tea at the Treedome," Tom Yasumi is credited as the animation director instead of Edgar Larrazábal.
"I Had an Accident" and "Born Again Krabs" premiered on this DVD before they did on TV.
There are two pairs of sister episodes on this DVD. The first is "Valentine's Day"/"The Paper" and the second is "Born Again Krabs"/"I Had an Accident."
This DVD is rated PG in Canada.
All of the episodes on this DVD had clips during the "Underwater Sun" song music video on the special features, except for "I Had An Accident" and "Born Again Krabs."
