Synopsis[]
Patrick and Squidina are preparing for a camping trip, with Squidina bringing along some traditional supplies. Squidina is excited that the show will be mostly spent living off the land. Cecil shows up with a large RV, decked out with a fancy living space, massage tables, and a theater. Squidina tells Cecil that this defeats the purpose of the show, but he assures her that it will get harder once they reach the campsite. In the meantime, he has Patrick and Squidina watch a "fun camping movie": Campfire Massacre 7, a film about kids getting eaten by a monster while camping, which terrifies the two. Cecil tells them that he filled the RV with anti-monster technology to fight off monsters they encounter on the trip.
The family arrives at the campground, sleeping for the night using comfortable fold-out beds built into the RV. However, when Cecil wakes up, the RV is gone. Squidina says that she asked Patrick to move it to make space for her survival show, Toughing It Out. However, Patrick parked the RV over a cliff, causing it to crash and explode. Squidina is excited, since this makes the show more difficult. Cecil reassures a worried Patrick that he has gear to help them survive.
For the first challenge, Squidina wants Patrick and Cecil to build shelter. However, Cecil needs to use the bathroom, and takes out a small device that unfolds into a metal bathroom. Patrick, meanwhile, goes to the bathroom inside a giant hole. Squidina complains that they have to build shelters, and Patrick laughs it off, wanting to eat instead. Cecil unfolds a miniature stovetop, frying up dirt and rocks. Patrick and Squidina are disgusted, and Cecil says that all his ingredients were in the RV. Patrick enthusiastically goes for seconds, eating the contents of a pinecone, and declares Cecil the winner. Squidina leaves in frustration, going to build a shelter herself. Patrick wants to follow her, but Cecil assures him that she will come back.
A storm comes and blows up Cecil's bathroom. Cecil cannot find his automatic shelter, having left it at home, where GrandPat mistakes it for a TV remote and gets crushed by a tent. Squidina builds a teepee out of leaves, but it gets blown away by the wind. Monstrous isopods come from the forest and surround her. Meanwhile, Cecil has built a shelter out of sleeping sea bears, who wake up and maul him and Patrick. Patrick sees a rustling in the bushes, and fears that a monster is coming for him. They run around in the forest some more, only to be encounter Squidina. While they believe they are safe, she speaks a strange language and crawls after them, followed by isopods.
While Patrick and Cecil panic, Squidina apologizes and says she just wanted to show them her shelter: a giant mansion hidden in the forest. She was speaking isopod, as two arrive to give Patrick and Cecil drinks. They relax by the pool, where Patrick declares Squidina the winner of Toughing It Out. Just then, the sea monster from Campfire Massacre 7 appears, destroying the shelter and scaring everyone away. The words "The End" are written in blood-red letters, alongside an ominous voiceover.
