Sub-Marinara is a supervillain who appears in the episode "Delivery of Doom."
Description[]
It has a submarine sandwich for a body, filled with meatballs, tomato sauce, and melted cheese, with the ingredients oozing out. Metallic parts of a submarine are attached to it, including rudders on each side and a periscope on top, which has a single eye and a black eyebrow on a red lens. It also has two sturdy gray humanoid legs. It is controlled from the inside by a tiny dark blue scuba diver wearing light green goggles and a yellow snorkel.
Role in episode[]
SpongeBob encounters Sub-Marinara in the E.V.I.L. lair while attempting to deliver an order for the supervillains, but struggles to remember its name, so he looks it up in his comic book until the narrator finally tells it. Sub-Marinara confronts SpongeBob by spitting sauce at him, but he deflects all of it with his hydro-dynamic spatula, making it frustrated. SpongeBob charges at it, but Sub-Marinara shoots two slices of bread at him, trapping him between them and preparing to marinate him with a bucket of extra spicy molten arrabbiata sauce. However, SpongeBob escapes just in time by eating the bread, then lunges at Sub-Marinara and wraps it in aluminum foil. At SpongeBob's request, a scuba diver emerges from Sub-Marinara to sign his comic book, after which SpongeBob places it inside a refrigerator, wrapped up in the shape of a swan.
