The string is an object that appears in the episode of the same name.
Description[]
It is a very long black thread that is from Squidward's shirt. Eventually, it would temporarily destroy Bikini Bottom and the universe.
Role in episode[]
When SpongeBob unravels a string off Squidward's shirt, he begins to unravel other things like people's clothing and different objects. While SpongeBob continues to do so, he finally stops at an empty blank void. Soon at the end, Patrick unravels the string off of SpongeBob's shirt and disappears, while the former uses it as a floss.
