"Squidina's Holidaze Special" is a The Patrick Star Show episode from season 3. In this episode, Squidina has to direct her school holiday play, but Patrick mangles her script.

Characters[]

Synopsis[]

Squidina frantically writes the script for her play while sipping several cups of coffee. Meanwhile, Patrick is attempting to break open a Christmas present when Squidina taps him on the shoulder. She tells him that after several all-nighters and more coffee than a third-grader should ever drink, she finally finished her script for the school play. Squidina explains that it's the only copy and if anything were to happen to it, she would fail drama class. Squidina passes out and face plants on the floor from exhaustion. Patrick nudges Squidina to check of she's awake, then takes the script to "take a little peek." He ends up destroying the paper in several different ways. Later, Patrick is shown to have successfully fixed the script. He gives it back to Squidina just before she wakes up. Squidina realizes that she's going to be late for the play, and drags Patrick along. Mr. Steinman waits impatiently backstage for Squidina. Just before Mr. Steinman marks Squidina's grade, Patrick kicks through to the backstage area, knocking him over. Squidina runs in and quickly hands out scripts to everyone, telling everyone to learn their lines. Meanwhile, Bunny, Cecil, and GrandPat Star are in the audience, and Cecil is fiddling with a large video camera. Bunny removes the lens cap for Cecil, and he starts recording. The camera runs out of time immediately and Cecil starts inserting quarters into the camera to get it to work.

Patrick admits to changing the script.

The play starts, and the children begin to sing. The parents enjoy the performance at first, but the children start to sing odd lyrics, making them confused. Squidina flips through the script and realized this wasn't what she wrote. Patrick tells her that he did a few punch-ups on her script. The prop school bus is lowered down on the stage, and the children walk into it. A backstage crewmember reads through the script confused, and attaches a rocket to the school bus. Squidina is in disbelief that Patrick destroyed and rewrote her script. The crewman lights the rocket, and the bus flies through the walls of the auditorium. Squidina turns to Patrick, now very upset with him, telling him that this play is worth 95% of her final grade, and to get in costume and help her fix this. The parents are clapping nervously, and Mr. Steinman marks Squidina's grade down as an F-. Squidina screams at him to not give her an F, then sheepishly explains that they are just getting started, and its time for the next act. Squidina throws GrandPat on stage. He starts dancing and singing with Patrick who is wearing a diaper and a top hat, and carrying a cane. The backstage crewman reads the script and shrugs, then throws and box of rockets on stage. They fly and explode around Patrick and GrandPat, then one falls into their hands and goes off in their faces. Squidina is appalled and prays to Neptune that this works. SpongeBob walks up next to Squidina, dressed as the Easter bunny. Squidina explains to him that there's been some rewrites and that he's playing the "other guy" and tells him to go get some boots. Patrick then introduces Groundhog Day, and Squidina exclaims the groundhog is still on the bus. Squidina recasts Sandy as the groudhog and throws her onto the stage. She casts Perch Perkins as the groundhog's shadow, and throws him onto the stage as well.

The camera pans over to Patrick, who explains that most important part of Groundhog Day is picking the perfect hog to grind, and he holds a hog over a grinder. Sandy kicks the grinder from Patrick and explains that isn't what Groundhog Day is about. She throws Patrick away and starts explaining the history of Groundhog Day. Squidina reminds her to follow the script. Sandy challenges Perch to single combat, as the script says. Sandy and Perch fight each other in a cloud of dust. Sandy is victorious, and GrandPat drags Perch offstage and Sandy with him. Patrick comes in on his hog and says that's where sausage comes from, before losing control of the hog. Bubble Bass and Grandma Tentacles are criticizing the play, so Squidina throws them onto the stage. They act out the story of Romeo and Juliet, with Baby Prunes playing Cupid. Bubble Bass and Granny Tentacles are about to kiss when a portal opens between them and Cyberpat appears. He asks for them to hand over Cupid, and explains he comes from a future where Cupid's army has destroyed the world. Baby Prunes shoots him in the butt, knocking him over. Baby Prunes throws candy next to Cyberpat, and he instantly falls in love with it and runs through the portal, before being vaporized by a laser. The curtain closes and Mr. Steinman calls the play an "interesting take." SpongeBob walks up to Squidina, wearing cowboy boots. She asks him where his beard and big coat is.

SpongeMonster and Pat-gor are shoving various body parts and Christmas decorations under a tarp. Dr. Plankenstein presses a button, causing electricity to channel to the thing under the tarp. It comes to life, and it turns out to be a living Christmas tree. It pushes out a Christmas present, and it's a small sweater covered in slime. SpongeMonster and Pat-gor give it to Dr. Plankenstein.

Patrick comes from backstage and says it's time to celebrate his favorite day, Patrick's Day. GrandPat comes from backstage and says it's Saint Patrick's Day not Patrick's Day, then launches Patrick offstage. Squidina grabs Mr. Krabs and Plankton from the audience and put them in the play. GrandPat narrates the story of Saint Patrick's Day, saying that the holiday commemorates the deeds of Saint Patrick, who opposed the evil leprechauns, who were turning pots of gold to rainbows. Saint Patrick did battle with the leprechaun, and just before the leprechaun was defeated. Plankton asks everyone to hold it and asks they audience if they want to see something original where the villain doesn't get defeated by the hero, to which they don't. Mr. Krabs smashes Plankton out of the auditorium with his cane. GrandPat says that to celebrate Easter, chocolate eggs were hidden under everyone seats. Patrick walks up to GrandPat with chocolate on his mouth and hands and says that saving's been cut. GrandPat says there's an even better treat on the next page, but Patrick has already eaten the page. Backstage, SpongeBob returns to Squidina with a large trenchcoat. Squidina asks for a red coat with a fluffy trim. SpongeBob walks out of the trenchcoat, then an elevator appears from the trenchcoat with Patrick inside. Patrick does a holiday lightning round, where he goes through the Fourth of July, Boxing Day, Labor Day, Tax Day, Twin Day, Halloween, Free Balloon Day, Nothing Day, Cyber Monday, Mother's Day, Fitness Day, Swaptoberfest, Earth Day, Opposite Day, and Make-a-Friend Day. Backstage, SpongeBob walks up to Squidina with a giant wig. Squidina exclaims that isn't a Santa suit, SpongeBob then runs to go get a Santa suit. Patrick starts going through days that aren't holidays, which causes Mr. Steinman to dock points. SpongeBob finally has the correct costume for Santa. He goes to walk on stage but trips on his beard and severely injures himself. In complete disbelief, Squidina says she doesn't know how this play could possibly get any worse. The prop school bus comes crashing through the auditorium, destroying the stage.

Santa drops presents on the auditorium.

The child and adult actors get into a fight, and Squidina walks offstage, sullen. Patrick tells SpongeBob he has an idea, and they run offstage. Squidina walks up to Mr. Steinman and asks to get the grading over with. Mr. Steinman gives her an F, and Squidina sighs and says it would've taken a miracle to fix the play. Just then, Santa Claus lifts the roof from the auditorium, with SpongeBob and Patrick in the palm of his hand, which causes Mr. Steinman to immediately give Squidina an A+. Squidina asks SpongeBob and Patrick how they pulled it off, and SpongeBob responds that Patrick reminded him the that the big guy owed them a couple of favors. Squidina thanks Patrick for fixing her play and Patrick apologizes for messing it up in the first place. Santa says that's the reasons why Patrick is still on his naughty list, which causes Patrick to sweat nervously. Santa then laughs and tears the list up and throws out present to everyone, which crushes the auditorium. Santa rides off, laughing hysterically.
