Squid's disease is a disease Squidward, SpongeBob, and Mr. Krabs get in the episode "Squiditis."

It is known to be contagious, spreading from Squidward to SpongeBob then Mr. Krabs, but the cause is unknown.
Role in episode[]
The disease first is mentioned when Squidward says that all of a sudden he doesn't feel very well and fake-coughs. He then mentions he has a scratchy throat, dry mouth, and itchy eyes. SpongeBob asks what could it be. Squidward says he might be coming down with an illness, so SpongeBob asks what the name is and Squidward says "squid's disease."
Mr. Krabs does the old navy medical technique, and then SpongeBob actually starts thinking Squidward has squid's disease and wears a gas mask. After Mr. Krabs believes Squidward's illness, SpongeBob itches his eye and realizes he coughs and his mouth feels dry, implying that he has squid's disease. He then tries to cure the illness, so Mr. Krabs tells SpongeBob to go home.
Squidward and SpongeBob then watch Romantic Comedy: The Movie, and it actually cures the illness. They then run to the Krusty Krab seeing Mr. Krabs lying on the the ground. Mr. Krabs mentions he has squid's disease, so SpongeBob then reveals the romantic comedy. Mr. Krabs scoots away as the episode ends.
