- This is the first SpongeBob VHS tape to feature Patrick Star on the front cover.
- The cover for this tape is based off the episode "Wormy," due to it featuring Wormy inside a bubble chasing SpongeBob and Patrick around Bikini Bottom.
- This VHS tape and Nautical Nonsense make up the Nautical Nonsense and Sponge Buddies DVD, which has the same release date as both of those VHS tapes.
