The SpongeBob SquarePants Popsicle, also known as the "Spongesicle," is a water-based frozen snack sold by the ice pop company Popsicle and is made to look like SpongeBob. The Popsicle first debuted in 2002. Since then, there have been four packaging designs.
In 2023, Popsicle replaced the ice cream's gumball eyes with chocolate eyes because they stated that the company is always looking for ways to improve their products.[1] In Canada, Popsicle removed the eyes entirely around 2016 or 2017. This was most likely because gumballs are a choking hazard to young kids.
Description[]
It is a popsicle version of SpongeBob. It has a fruit punch and cotton candy flavor. The eye pupils were two small black gumballs (removed from SpongeBob Popsicles in Canada as of 2016/2017). They were changed to chocolate chips in 2023. The only differences in appearance between this and the actual SpongeBob are that its shirt is red instead of brown, has no black belt, light olive-green holes, or blue eyes.
