The SpongeBob SquarePants Gold Medal Dive-a-thon was a marathon that aired on September 16, 2000 in the United States and February 2, 2002 in Latin America. The American version was themed around the 2000 Summer Olympics, which began one day before this event,[1] while the Latin America version was themed around the 2002 Winter Olympics which began six days before, and aired 8 new episodes in this region.
