"SpongeBob Checks His Instaclam" is a SpongeBob SquarePants Social Media short. In this short, SpongeBob checks his Instaclam.

Characters

Synopsis

While SpongeBob is in the Krusty Krab, he decides to check his Instaclam. Once he does so, he sees the posts of many people, such as Gary, Sandy, and Squidward, and "likes" their posts as well. Even one post was SpongeBob and Patrick goofing around, SpongeBob sees Squidward comment "Dislike" and still keeps up his cheer.

General

The "Laundry Day" message is an image from "To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants."
- Other messages had images from episodes such as "Bossy Boots," "Truth or Square," and more.
This is Harold and Margaret SquarePants' first short appearance.
The footage of SpongeBob holding the phone up to his face is reused from the episode "SpongeBob You're Fired" when SpongeBob reads the order at the beginning, except with a SpongeBob-style bamboo mobile phone loosely animated over the order paper.

The "Rainbow Space Snail" scene is a clip from another Nick.com video, which is a reference to Nyan Cat, a popular Internet meme, and game.
Instaclam is a obvious reference to the real-life social networking app Instagram.
