The player is playing as SpongeBob and is given a certain amount of time during the shift. Take a look at the customer's orders at the counter. To know what the customers want on their food, it is shown in the speech bubble. Server patience is measured by a meter at the top right corner of the speech bubble.
Click and drag the raw ingredient to the grill to start cooking. A cooking meter is shown when food is put on the grill. The cooking meter will slowly rise as the food cooks. When the meter is full, the word "Flip!" pops up. Click on the food on the grill to flip it. If food is left out too long on the grill, the food will burn. When food is finished cooking, drag it onto the bun. The other food toppings are found near the grill. Click the right toppings and put it on the patty. Click on the top bun to complete the order and then drag the order to the customer.
If the customer has been waiting too long, the player will lose time. If the player gives the customer the correct order, they will gain time. If the player gives the customer the wrong order, they will lose time. Incorrect orders or burnt food can be thrown away in the garbage. The player's shift ends when the timer runs out.
This gameplay is required for any job that the player chooses. First, the player will start their shift at the Krusty Krab. Afterwards, Mr. Krabs will fire them.
Once fired by Mr. Krabs, the player may choose another job from a selection of three careers. The player can choose to work at Taco Sombrero, Pizza Piehole, or Weenie Hut. They all play exactly like the Krusty Krab job shift. Once fired from two more jobs, Mr. Krabs will rehire the player and they will start a bonus shift. Once the bonus shift is done, the game is over.
