SpongeBob's unicycle is SpongeBob's source of transportation until he gets his boating license to drive a boatmobile. He most often rides it on his way to Mrs. Puff's Boating School. It first appears in the episode "Boating School."

The red version with a metal wheel.
In most of its appearances, the unicycle is blue with a wooden paddle wheel and two silver pedals. SpongeBob calls it his "bike," which is technically incorrect. Although the term bike can mean unicycle, bicycle, tricycle, or quadcycle.
Starting with "Demolition Doofus," it is red instead of blue. In "Krusty Kleaners," it has a metal wheel with a tire (like a real life unicycle) instead of its usual paddle wheel. It also has a brown seat instead of a black seat.
In "Demolition Doofus," it is revealed that SpongeBob has a briefcase for his unicycle. When he jumps into a boat with Mrs. Puff, he folds the unicycle into the briefcase and puts it in the back seat.

"Boating School"[]
SpongeBob holding his unicycle during its first appearance.
SpongeBob drives himself to Mrs. Puff's Boating School, then he throws the unicycle into the dumpster because he was certain that he would pass his driving test that day. Later, he is saddened because he threw out his bike and cannot go to the hospital to cheer up Mrs. Puff. However, Gary gets the bike back and he and SpongeBob visit Mrs. Puff.

"I'm gonna get my driver's license and it's only gonna take one more year, one more year, one more super duper year."
After SpongeBob fails his last boating exam of the year, he rides his unicycle around in front of Mrs. Puff's school. Later, when Mrs. Puff knocks SpongeBob out of his new boat, he uses his unicycle to keep up with her.

Training Gary for the snail race coming up, SpongeBob is briefly shown riding his unicycle while following behind Gary.
"Born to Be Wild"[]
After SpongeBob and Patrick witness the Mild Ones, they decide to dress up like tough bikers and ride around Bikini Bottom, the unicycle is taller and has a handlebar in this case.

SpongeBob rides the unicycle next to Squidward's recumbent bicycle and asks Squidward if he is good enough to join the Bikini Bottom Men's Choir.
"Traffic"[]
SpongeBob, while riding his unicycle, falls out of it due to traffic.
"Karate Star"[]
Patrick chops the unicycle when SpongeBob finds him and tries to tell Patrick to stop chopping.

SpongeBob rides his unicycle to boating school.

The unicycle appears in SpongeBob's garage when he's getting ready to fight.

SpongeBob uses it to give the Bikini Bottomites some of Sandy's Nutty Butter.

SpongeBob encounters Squidward walking in the middle of the road while riding his unicycle. After finding out that he is going to the hospital to get a nose job, SpongeBob offers him a ride, but Squidward turns this it down. SpongeBob then attaches a trash can to his unicycle to accommodate Squidward.
"Krusty Kleaners"[]
SpongeBob is seen riding the unicycle as he is making a Krabby Patty delivery at the tank company. Once he reaches that building, he parks the unicycle at the parking rack and goes through the spinning doors.

SpongeBob and Patrick are seen riding the unicycle through Barg'N-Mart at the beginning of the episode.

SpongeBob rides his unicycle after crashing a boatmobile into Mrs. Puff's house.

When the Softy Spitoon patrons fight, SpongeBob continues to serve them on his unicycle, happily giving the belt buckle thug a cupcake and a clown balloon.
