  • This DVD was released four days after the episode it is based on premiered on TV.
  • This DVD was released as part of the 10th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants.
  • The pocket on the DVD cover is not connected to SpongeBob's pants.
  • The DVD is known as "SpongeBob RoundPants" in Region 2.
  • The back cover of this DVD contains pictures from these episodes:
  • This DVD includes previews for other Nickelodeon DVDs. These include older SpongeBob SquarePants DVDs, The Mighty B!: We Got the Bee DVD, Back at the Barnyard: When No One's Looking DVD, and Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Complete Book 3 Collection DVD.
  • On international releases outside Canada, this DVD includes "Pineapple Fever" and "Chum Caverns" instead of "The Splinter" and "Slide Whistle Stooges." Despite this, a picture from "Slide Whistle Stooges" still appears on the back cover.
  • Unlike the character arts on the Spongicus DVD and Viking-Sized Adventures, the ones on this DVD do not include a colored version of the character drawings.
  • "Slide Whistle Stooges" is the only episode on this DVD to not play the track "Hawaiian Cocktail."
  • The Region 1/North American release is the only version to have the 1984 Nickelodeon Splat logo, while the international (non-US) releases uses the September 2009 rebrand logo.
  • This is the last SpongeBob DVD for three things:

    • The last SpongeBob DVD to use the Impact font on the back.

  • On the closing credits of this DVD, "To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants" is listed as the episode's alternate title, "To SquarePants or Not To" because the original title is considered too long. Despite this, the episode is called "To SquarePants or Not to SquarePants" everywhere else on the DVD.
