"SpongeBob's Spookiest Scenes Countdown Special" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode, produced as a stand-alone special for season twelve. In this episode, a power outage won't stop Patchy the Pirate from counting down some of the spookiest SpongeBob scenes ever.

Trivia

This is the fourth special to be a clip show, the first being "Patchy's Playlist," the second being "SpongeBob Appreciation Day: Patchy's Beach Bash!," and the third being "The Stars of SpongeBob Fan Favorites Special."
Despite that this is a special that is Halloween-themed, not every Halloween episode is included. "Séance Shméance" is not included.

In the event, a clip from "House Worming" was shown in a cropped 4:3 aspect ratio despite the episode being produced in widescreen.
All of Potty's lines are archival recordings reused from previous episodes.

Every time the outside of Patchy's house is shown in this special, it's a night time shot taken straight from the ending of "The Sponge Who Could Fly." The only differences being is that it's cropped to widescreen and doesn't have a SpongeBob constellation above Patchy's house.
This special got 0.72 million viewers, making it the least viewed special thus far.
- It was originally the least viewed episode until it got overshadowed by "Krusty Koncessionaires" and "Dream Hoppers" with 0.66 million viewers.
