SpongeBob's Runaway Roadtrip was a five-day event comprised of a miniseries within the show, featuring daily vacation-themed episodes. It aired at 5:00pm EST during the second week of November 2011 in the United States, while it was spread out as a Sunday morning event in the United Kingdom and Ireland, premiering new episodes from August 19 through September 16[1] at 9:00am.

- In the United States, these premieres served as lead-ins to five world premiere episodes of Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness.
- "A SquarePants Family Vacation":
- preceded the premiere of a new season of "Camp Orange: The Lost Kingdom" in the UK and Ireland.[7]
- This is the first and only premiere week to debut a whole miniseries.
- All of the episodes premiered as a direct-to-video release a month and a half prior to this event's premiere, before airing on American television.
- All of the episodes in this miniseries were rated PG in Canada.[citation needed]
