Enter the answers in the boxes across or down that begin with the same number as the questions. To check if a word is correct, click the "Check Word" button. When the player checks a word, any wrong letters will be deleted. To solve a word, click the "Solve Word" button. When the player is ready to check the entire crossword puzzle, they click "Options" then "Check Puzzle." When they check the puzzle, all wrong words or letters will be deleted, and they will see their stats. If the player left some blanks, after they click "Check Puzzle," they will be given the option to go back and fill them in. If they want the computer to solve the puzzle for them, they click "Options" then "Solve Puzzle." To reset the puzzle and begin again, click "Options" then "Reset Puzzle." The less times the player clicks "Check Word" and "Solve Word," the better their stats. A timer runs from when the player begin to solve the puzzle until they click
"Check Puzzle," "Solve Puzzle," or "Reset Puzzle." Try again to beat the previous time!
Use the mouse to click on a question or a box in the crossword puzzle. When the player clicks on a question, the corresponding box in the puzzle will be highlighted. When they click on a box in the puzzle, the entire row of boxes that make up the word will be highlighted. If they click on a numbered box that begins both an "Across" and a "Down" word, the boxes that make up the "Across" word will automatically be highlighted. To highlight the "Down" word beginning with that number, simply click again.
Once the player highlighted a row of boxes that make up a word with their mouse, they just type in the letters on your keyboard. They will automatically appear in the highlighted boxes.
The timer runs from when the player begins the crossword puzzle until they click "Check Puzzle," "Solve Puzzle," or "Reset Puzzle." The faster their time, the better their stats.
If the player has entered a word, but they are not sure it is correct, clicking "Check Word" will cause the word to be highlighted and all incorrect letters to be deleted. If the player cannot figure out a word and wants some help, clicking "Solve Word" will result in the correct word appearing in the boxes. They can check or solve words as many times as they wish, but the less they do, the better their stats.
When the player has completed the crossword puzzle, or come as close as they can, they click "Solve Puzzle" to see how they did. After the player checks the puzzle, they will see a list of their stats, including their time, how many words they checked, how many words they solved, and how many words they got right. If the player has left some boxes blank, they will be given the option of going back and trying to complete the puzzle. If they are stuck and want the computer to solve the puzzle for them, they have to click "Solve Puzzle" to see a completed version. Once the puzzle is solved, the player will see their stats, including how many words they solved themselves and how many words the computer solved for them.
The options menu is where the player will find the buttons for "Check Puzzle," "Solve Puzzle," and "Reset Puzzle." If they want to do any of these things, they first click "Options" to find their buttons. If they click on a button in the options menu, the game will ask if they want to do it or cancel it.

Some of the words do not even have anything to do with SpongeBob. For example, 6 Down in the crossword puzzle is the word Acres and the crossword hint refers to it as the name of a 1960s TV show called Green Acres.
