Sir Urchin is a sea urchin who first appears in the episode "Library Cards." He is one of the two stars of The Sir Urchin & Snail Fail Show!
Description[]
He is a black sea urchin with a gold monocle and a blue and red top hat.
Outside of the show, Sir Urchin wears a blue top hat with a white fluff and a yellow feather on top. He also wears a gold monocle with a belt and a red cape.
On The Sir Urchin & Snail Fail Show!, he is portrayed to live in a mansion with his bumbling assistant Snail Fail. Snail Fail repeatedly bashes him with objects, making Sir Urchin shout his catchphrase, "Why, you!", as Snail Fail says his catchphrase, "What I do?"[1]

"Library Cards"[]
He appears in The Sir Urchin & Snail Fail Show!, where he keeps getting hit by Snail Fail with something heavy. Later in the episode, he and Snail Fail are used to make Patrick dumb again.

He and Snail Fail appear on Patrick's TV, in the same episode seen in "Library Cards."
"Sir Urchin and Snail Fail"[]
In his biggest role, Sir Urchin first appears on an episode of his show, where he has Snail Fail dust his pieces of art. Snail Fail keeps smashing them over him, but grows bored. Sir Urchin watches in confusion as Snail Fail gives a monologue about the show's repetitive jokes. He calls out Snail Fail, who declares that he wants to be a more serious actor and storms off.
Patrick tries to get Sir Urchin to rejoin the show. He calls a taxi, only to find Sir Urchin driving it, having taken up a new job after Snail Fail left. Patrick recognizes him and Sir Urchin gets the idea to make him Snail Fail's replacement. The two re-enact the show on the street, but Patrick is unable to remember his lines. A newspaper boy notifies Sir Urchin of a talent show, which he decides to attend.
At the talent show, Sir Urchin and Patrick run into SpongeBob and Snail Fail backstage. The two get into another fight, with Sir Urchin having his monocle removed and smashed by Snail Fail. They go onto the stage and fight, which the audience mistakes for another part of their show and applauds. When Snail Fail quotes his catchphrase, the audience cheers. Sir Urchin then agrees to get back with Snail Fail, and adds a more serious tone to the show at his request. At the end of the show, he gives SpongeBob and Patrick a shout-out for helping them get back together.

He and Snail Fail appear in The Sir Urchin & Snail Fail Show! at the end of the episode.
"The Prehistoric Patrick Star Show"[]
He appears on one of the "cavetoons" that Cave Patrick watches. When Snail Fail says that he has invented slapstick, Sir Urchin asks him to demonstrate. Snail Fail smacks a wooden branch on him, making Sir Urchin angry. He then hits him with a stone wheel, and Sir Urchin jumps into the air and yells. The two overhear Cave Bunny calling for breakfast and look surprised.
"Olly Olly Organ Free"[]
He and Snail Fail are seen when Patrick watches TV at the start of the episode.
Role in SpongeBob Simulator[]
He appears as a buddy from the Weird Super Buddies Clam.
Trivia[]
- In "Library Cards," Sir Urchin's monocle has a blue glass in it. In "Sir Urchin and Snail Fail," the frame appears empty, but has a visible glass when Sir Urchin removes it.
- Alongside the Beard, Sir Urchin is one of the only sea urchins in the series that can talk and has (visible) eyes and limbs, making them more evolved and sapient than other sea urchin characters.
- It likely has to do with him being a cartoon character, as mentioned in "Library Cards" and "The Prehistoric Patrick Star Show".
