Trivia
General
- This will be the first episode where a sea turtle appears in the SpongeBob SquarePants series, since they have previously only been mentioned in "Chum Caverns."
- This is the fourth episode to use sand as the title card background, the first being "Sandy, SpongeBob, and the Worm," the second being "Rise and Shine" and the third being "Sand Castles in the Sand."
- SpongeBob only has a minor cameo in this episode, since the story is focused on Patrick and the introduction of new characters.
- This episode was originally going to premiere on October 26, 2019 alongside "Senior Discount" in Russia, but due to a mistake in the schedule, "SpongeBob in RandomLand" along with its sister premiered instead.
Cultural references
- When Tony is playing the song on the record player, a poster with a reference to Kiss can be seen in the background.
- The band Lynyrd Squidyrd is a reference to the American rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd.
