Shady Shoals and Mermalair is the ninth zone in SpongeBob Simulator. The player can explore buildings and locations in this area such as Shady Shoals Rest Home and the Mermalair.
This zone has four areas with two being at Shady Shoals and two being at the Mermalair.
Gameplay[]
Area 26 (Shady Shoals)[]
The player can access this area after successfully defeating the Gate Guardian of Vacation World.
UI for Mermaid Man's quest.
The player can find the Help Out Mermaid Man Quest to obtain the Mermaid Man morph.
Area 27 (Shady Shoals)[]
To access Area 27, the player needs a total of 15.00Sp Doubloons.
The player can find the eighth Imaginaaation Station.
Area 28 (Mermalair)[]
To access Area 28, the player needs a total of 55.00Sp Doubloons.
Area 29 (Mermalair)[]
To access Area 29, the player needs a total of 200.00Sp Doubloons.
The Wum-bo-nator can be found there allowing the player to apply the appearance of any of their Rainbow buddies to their Goober and Deluxe buddies with the Super Buddy III+ modifier.
The player can find the Man Ray boss fight to gain Super and Boss Hero Clams as well as the Man Ray morph.
The player can also find a Secret Area where they can do a Mermalair Obstacle Coarse to get a Boss Spawner Part.
The player can find the second Boss Spawner.
To access Medieval World, the player must talk with Plankton to challenge their eighth gate guardian.

One of the many flowers.
- Above this and many maps, there are several flower clouds in the sky that cannot be seen by the player. These are used to cast shadows down onto the ground for higher graphics settings.
- Shady Shoals and Mermalair was previously titled "Shady Shoals" before it was changed to its current name prior to its release.
