Seaweed mustaches are mustaches that appear in the film The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. They also appears in the the book, Cine-Manga book, magazine, the game, and Road Trip in 3-D!. They were mentioned in the book Are We There Yet?

Description

As the name states, they are mustaches made of seaweed.

Role in series

The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie

When SpongeBob and Patrick keep whining over how they are babies, Princess Mindy decides to make them "men" by putting seaweed mustaches on them. So she makes them do some actions and then puts the seaweed mustaches under their noses. When they open their eyes and realize they have mustaches, SpongeBob and Patrick get happy and go down the trench, since they think they're invincible as adults, although they weren't. Thankfully, a branch was there and saved the two from death.

Down at the trench, SpongeBob and Patrick sing a song about being in the trench and get past the trench and all it's monsters. However, Dennis appears on the other side and rips off their mustaches, telling them that they weren't real mustaches. He attempts to kill them with his boot, but he is then stomped by the Cyclops
