Seaweed City is an underwater city that appears in the episode "Chum Bucket List."
Description[]
The city is located next to a seaweed forest, most likely deriving its name from it. It is the neighboring city of Bikini Bottom. It consists of many buildings resembling Bottomite houses. However, the city has grown by one more building, which is the tallest building of Bikini Bottom. On the outskirts of the city, there is a red dashed boundary line that separates it from Bikini Bottom. It has a bamboo-edged silver sign with two lamps on it that reads "Welcome to Seaweed City" in red and blue lettering.
Role in episode[]
After SpongeBob and Patrick reach the top of the building they thought was the tallest in Bikini Bottom, it turns out the adjacent one is actually the tallest. This causes SpongeBob to scream, and the sheer volume pushes the tallest building through the border of Seaweed City, right in front of the mayor.
Later, Squidina removes a piece of chum from between Patrick's teeth, causing it to splatter everywhere. The chum even flies onto a helicopter, making it crash in Seaweed City. As a result, the city explodes and is annihilated.
