Scooter,[1] also referred to as Marv,[2] is a surfer fish who is commonly seen at Goo Lagoon and easily identified by his high-pitched, shaky voice and commonly speaking surfer lingo. He first appears in the episode "Ripped Pants."
Description
Scooter is a lavender fish with light purple fins and legs and light green lips. He typically wears multi-colored pants. His pants were originally lavender and yellow, but starting in "Walking Small," they are light green and still yellow.
Biography
He is voiced by Carlos Alazraqui in most episodes, but is voiced by Clancy Brown in the episode "Wigstruck," and Dee Bradley Baker in "Sponge-Cano!" Most of the time, he is very happy and supportive to SpongeBob and laughs in approval.
He dies and turns into an angel when he drowns in the high tide in the episode "Bubble Buddy." In later episodes, he is somehow alive.
Trivia
- Him appearing alive after the episode "Bubble Buddy" where he supposedly dies is quite possibly due to the show's lack of flowing continuity between episodes.
- However, it is posssible that it could be that there's an identical looking fish who appears after his death.
- This theory was covered on the sixth episode of the web series, "Bikini Bottom Mysteries" in the episode titled "Scooter’s Haunting Secret".
