— Sandroid
Character

Sandroid is a robotic version of Sandy Cheeks who appears as the main antagonist in the episode "Welcome to Binary Bottom."

Description[]

FoKIan6aIAAf4o6

Sandroid's model sheet.

Binary Bottom Shingled apu

Sandroid's model sheet featuring her original design along with SpongeBot, SquidBot, and RoboKrabs.

She appears as a giant robotic head without a body, wearing a cowboy hat and being able to move using jet force. She later assembles herself a body using parts from Binary Bottomites. She is known to have a bigger head and body than Sandy and all the other people that live in Binary Bottom. She does not like it when people enter her treedome, unlike Sandy who doesn't care, unless she is hibernating or sleeping.

Role in episode[]

After SquidBot and RoboGary accidentally break through her holographic dome, she chases them down alongside SpongeBot and several other robotic residents. After landing into the lagoon, she attaches everyone to herself so they can be "as close as peas in a pod," and start a robot uprising to the surface. She then rides the Bikini Atoll as her jet ski as she heads towards a real-life city skyline in the distance.

Trivia[]

General[]

  • Sandroid is a portmanteau of Sandy's name and the word android, which refers to a humanoid robot.

Cultural references[]

  • She is a parody of the titular floating head from the 1974 film Zardoz, bearing a similar design, the same facial expression, and even similar lines.
