The saltwater trees (named trees in the credits)[1] are sentient, walking trees that appear as the main antagonists in the episode "Arbor Day Disarray."
Description[]
They are small saltwater trees that grow from magical acorns created by Sandy. They grow inside pots, and can disperse acorns to summon other saltwater trees of their kind. They don't get hurt when they're turned into other objects, such as a chair or a table. It should be noted that while they have mouths, they do not have eyes.
Personality[]
The saltwater trees are shown to be selfish, rude, destructive, and hateful of the Bikini Bottomites.

Barky is SpongeBob's tree, which has a light brown trunk and dark green leaves. It has a neurotic and very unsatisfied personality. It is portrayed by Tom Kenny.

Patrick's tree has a light brown trunk with dark green leaves. It is more intelligent than Patrick and has a distaste for The Sir Urchin & Snail Fail Show! It is portrayed by Bill Fagerbakke.

Squidward's tree has a dark brown trunk with light green leaves. It is very rude, thinks Squidward is completely untalented and hates the octopus' taste of art, music and culture. It is portrayed by Rodger Bumpass.

Mr. Krabs' tree has a brown trunk with light green leaves. It is head of the complaints department at the Krusty Krab before being thrown out by Mr. Krabs after shamelessly insulting the restaurant's customers. It is portrayed by Clancy Brown.
Mrs. Puff's tree[]

Mrs. Puff's tree, has a light trunk with green leaves and a mouth. It is reckless driver (likely more so than SpongeBob) and snitches on Mrs. Puff as an act of revenge. It is portrayed by Mary Jo Catlett.
Baby trees[]

The baby trees are trees born from the acorns of others trees. They cause trouble in Bikini Bottom by being rude, destructive, and hateful.
Role in episode[]
They are brought to Bikini Bottom by Sandy as a gift to her friends on Arbor Day. Sandy's advice on talking to her trees brings them to life, and they turn out to be insult-spouting nuisances to Bikini Bottom, wreaking havoc across town. In order to stop them, Sandy brings in the Arbor Revitalizer, wooing the trees in and turning them into less destructive pieces of furniture; however, they continue to show sprouts of their mischievous attitude, prompting Sandy avoid celebrating Arbor Day next year.
