Safety First Tourism is a series of public service announcements released in May 2020. The commercials were a collaboration between Nickelodeon Philippines and the Department of Tourism of the Philippines.[1] Each one instructs the viewers how to safely visit the Philippines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Synopsis[]
At the beginning of every short, the Bikini Bottom News logo will appear on a TV screen. Then the topic of the video will be shown, followed by the Safety First Tourism logo. The majority of the advertisements feature animated footage of a woman demonstrating what and what not to do when visiting the Philippines. Occasionally, pictures of SpongeBob characters appear on the screen, often making remarks on the topics. Each commercials ends with the announcer saying "Safe travels!", which then cuts to an animated wave transition, then the sponsors will be shown.
