Synopsis[]
Patrick is getting ready to do a safety-proofed stunt on his show, but neither Squidina nor the audience is there. Squidina explains that after two seasons, they deserve a break, and leaves, after which Patrick does the stunt and lights the studio on fire. Not noticing, Squidina comes across Rube, who is alone and giving a presentation on sand. Realizing that Rube has no crew or audience, she decides to help him out for the day instead, and they report on a kids' lemonade stand.
Patrick watches from the window, wondering why Squidina is helping Rube instead of him. GrandPat tells him that Squidina replaced him and has forgotten about him. At GrandPat's suggestion, Patrick goes out to sabotage Rube and get Squidina back on his show. When Rube is interviewing some fishers at Goo Lagoon, Patrick hooks his rod to the back of a boat, and then tricks the driver to making it go fast. Rube manages to hook the boat up and unknowingly throws it back on Patrick.
Rube comes across a group of volleyball players and asks to play with them. When the ball is served to him, he misses and it flies into a tent. Inside, Patrick grinds his head down to a point and wears a volleyball costume, aiming to puncture Rube's microphone. The ball is served, but another player intercepts Rube's shot and he gets hit by them instead.
GrandPat suggests that instead of sabotage, Patrick should show that he does not need Squidina anymore to make her jealous. Rube and Squidina are surfing, when a kraken comes out of the water, having eaten the rest of the surfers. Patrick comes surfing behind a desk, with Old Man Walker as his cameraman. The kraken gets frustrated with being unable to tell his story and eats everyone.
Squidina confronts Patrick for replacing her, and he says that she replaced him first. Squidina explains she is just helping him for the day because he lost his crew. Rube finds his crewmates, now skeletons but still sentient, in the stomach of the kraken. Patrick apologizes, and Squidina accepts it. The kraken then burps out Patrick and Squidina, who say goodbye to Rube and his crew. Patrick and Squidina crash on top of GrandPat at home, getting ready to do another show.
