"Rock-a-Bye Bivalve" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from [[season {{{seasonnumber}}}]]. In this episode, . "Rock-A-Bye Bivalve" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season three, considered by some to be controversial.

Brief summary: Before Squidward tells a story at the beginning musical watching "Apply's Funhouse" on TV, he said Sandy began to yodel like that, meanwhile after finding an abandoned baby scallop, SpongeBob and Patrick decide to become "parents". Patrick, (as one could guess easily) takes the role of the dad, but ends up going off to his rock to eat Mr. Twisty's Twisted Cheese Curls and watch "The Guy Who Pinched Some Veggies Or Two" on TV while SpongeBob becomes a workaholic. When Squidward rocked to sing a lullaby when Sandy came to yodel at him with adventures, are we during a Snoodle's scene?

Plot

One night, at the Easter Island head, Sandy says to read the story with an invitation to read, Squidward begins a musical story while watching "Apply's Funhouse" on TV; meanwhile, Sandy yodels like that, and they did, Until, SpongeBob and Patrick find a small baby scallop while outside one day. They name it "Haman" and decide to adopt it, but soon learn that raising a baby is no "walk in the coral".

The controversial part of the episode came when SpongeBob took on the role of the mirrored king prince (and wore a King'S outfit in a few scenes while Patrick looks at his news of the Bikini Bottom Gazette), taking care of the baby all day while Patrick goes off to work, though in fact he is actually just going to his home to watch television, which the dense sea star somehow considers to be an actual job.

Back at the easter island head, Sandy sang Squidward his lullaby, Sandy yodels at him again. SpongeBob gets mad at Patrick for shirking his duty at home and they fight. They eventually resolve an agreement that Patrick will come home at 6:00 sharp to take care of the baby. However, that night, Patrick says he forgot, which angers SpongeBob. He then promises he will definitely get home at 6:00 the next day. Over the next few days, Patrick continues to come home after 6:00. They fight again, but realise after that Haman has disappeared. SpongeBob and Patrick hear a chirping outside. Haman is finally old enough to fly. The scallop leaves, but not before kissing his sponge and starfish

After, Patrick suddenly decides to "have another one" with SpongeBob (SpongeBob then gets a surprised face).

Trivia/Goofs

This episode also contains subtle sexual jokes such as:
- When SpongeBob and Patrick are playing with the scallop in a musical montage, they are seen bicycling with the scallop past two fish, a male and a female. The male fish appears to be very confused and is shown with a thought bubble over his head, containing the equation "Sponge + Starfish = Scallop?"
- When it's time for bed, the camera angles suggest that SpongeBob and Patrick are getting into the same bed and are talking about the baby scallop, but then the camera pulls away to reveal that the two are, in fact, sleeping on different layers of the same bed and not on the same mattress.
- In a mystery scene, Sandy broke Squidward's glass.
- At the end of the episode, when the scallop flies away and SpongeBob and Patrick are reminiscing about the fun times they had with the scallop, Patrick suggests "Let's have another", and SpongeBob seems to be in shock. Then the screen cuts to black and the episode ends. In a few arings, that quote was censored out.
When Patrick comes home from work for the second time, SpongeBob is shown multi-tasking. In this scene SpongeBob's tie is black instead of the usual red. This also happened in Plankton!.
Sometimes, Nick cuts the last part from when Patrick says "Lets have another!" until the ending.
When the time card "Tommorow" appears, the Patrick scene, SpongeBob's tie is black instead of red, but when it cuts to him talking to Patrick. This is most likely an animation "error".
When Patrick said, "I don't need this," SpongeBob is walking to the door holding the scallop, but in the next shot you don't see it.
Once again, at the end of the episode, when SpongeBob was wearing hair rollers on his head (even though he has no hair to begin with) the hair is brown. In mineshaft episodes when Mrs. Puff gives him his license, it says his is hair yellow in Mrs. Puff's Boating School.
When Patrick`s head been bitten a few scenes later his head is not bitten.

Squidward: Yummy, that is the sorry, he's under your undershapes.
Sandy: Dr. Man, read the story.

Squidward: (narrating) Once upon a time there lived a little kingdom by the sea, where they're dwelt by the King and Queen, so the King said "But now is it, now he can go for ours", At the castle, the Queen become a "Peaoni sister" and King become a "Peaoni brother", but the castle walls will fell down, and finally, the King forget to eat a sturdel... (rips a page, and laughs) Like that's going to happen.
Sandy: Hey Squidward? I grew up in Texas.
Squidward: Would you look at that line, "It's getting late, We are the most guys, But tomorrow morning, I'm making Sandy's..." (TV falls on Squid's head) "...waffles." (sighs) That's a good one.
Sandy: Well, we're out of time for today, boys and girls! Remember, Babies are... (makes the computer screen freeze.)
Squidward: Hold it! Stop! What about the theme song and Apply's Funhouse?
SpongeBob: Did you wanna change that diaper first? Boo hoo hoo hoo.
Squidward: Patrick did it once or twice.
French Narrator: Meanwhile...
SpongeBob: Your'e in for a treat tonight!
Patrick: I don't need this!
SpongeBob: What!? Where do you think you're going!?
Patrick: I'm going back to work!
SpongeBob: Work?! (SpongeBob follows Patrick to his work, which turns out to be his home)
Squidward: Will Sandy rock me? And sing me a lullaby? (Squid lays down to sing his lullaby to Sandy.)
Patrick: (watching The Guy Who Pinched Some Veggies Or Two on TV) Ha ha ha ha! That guy got pinched some vegetables or two!
SpongeBob: So this is work?
Patrick: You know, it's not easy as you think, sometime I have to move my antenna, sometimes the remote gets lost, and sometimes my butt itches real bad.
Squidward: (an outline of him and Sandy) What does it think it - a little weird?
Patrick: yeah, no, no, bad.
SpongeBob: Oh you poor, poor thing. By the way, you forgot your briefcase! (Opens a briefcase with cheese curls inside)
Patrick: So this is the thanks I'm getting for my overtime?!
SpongeBob: Overtime!?(SpongeBob and Patrick are angry with each other loudly when they suddenly hear Haman)
Patrick: There's that stupid noise again.
SpongeBob: No, that's just Haman about to fall from that two-joke window.
SpongeBob & Patrick: Haman!? (Both of them run to SpongeBob's house to get Haman when they both collide with the wall)
SpongeBob: Did you get him?
Patrick: No.
SpongeBob & Patrick: We're rumor dodgeballs!! (They both cry and they hear Haman and they see him flying)
SpongeBob: Haman? He's flying! (Haman kisses SpongeBob)
Patrick:Hey, what about daddy? (Another veggie falls on Patrick's head, before Haman comes and kisses Patrick) That's my boy.
SpongeBob & Patrick: Good bye, Haman.
SpongeBob: Well, he doesn't need us anymore.
Patrick: Let's have another.
SpongeBob: (seeing his binocluars) What is he doing? He's flying away!
Patrick: Um, Can I see?
