The Puff family is the family of Mrs. Puff. Her family has a very mysterious past, and many of the members are criminals and con artists. They are all pufferfish.

Mrs. Puff is called "Mrs." because she was once married. As mentioned in "No Free Rides," Mrs. Puff changed her name in her past. From this, it is known that "Puff" was not her husband's last name, but a family name that Mrs. Puff chose for herself. On this page, "Puff" is used in place of Mrs. Puff's maiden name. The series treats Puff as if it were her maiden name, and her ancestors are called "Puff."

Main article: Polene Puff

Polene Puff was the western ancestor of Mrs. Puff. She lived in Bikini Gulch and was a dancer at the Krusty Kantina. She shared a seahorse-drawn carriage with her two good friends, Pappy Krabs and Hopalong Squidward Tentacles. When SpongeBob's ancestor SpongeBuck came to town, Polene and her friends helped him work up the courage to defeat Dead Eye Plankton. Her name is confirmed in the game The Legend of Dead Eye Gulch.

Mrs. Puff's dad[]

SpongeBob SquarePants Doing Time Credits

Mrs. Puff's father appeared in a deleted scene from "Doing Time." He is still listed in the credits and was voiced by Tom Kenny before being cut from the final version of the episode.

Mama Puff[]

Mama Puff is Mrs. Puff's mother. She is mentioned in the Kamp Koral episode "Camper Gary." When Mrs. Puff nearly falls off of a cliff, Mrs. Puff says "Mama always said I'd go out like this."

Moe's parents[]

Mrs. Puff has a cousin named Moe Blowfish. Because of his different last name, it is likely that his mother was the sister of Mrs. Puff's dad, and she married into the Blowfish family. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Blowfish.

Mrs. Puff[]

Mrs. Puff is SpongeBob's teacher and one of the main characters of SpongeBob SquarePants. She has her own boating school, where she teaches students to drive boats like underwater cars. She is extremely dedicated to her job and is a skilled boat driver, but she can never figure out how to teach SpongeBob to drive. She puffs up like a car airbag whenever she is scared or stressed out.

Mr. Puff[]

Krusty Love 030
Main article: Mr. Puff

Mr. Puff was a male pufferfish and Mrs. Puff's late husband. He only appears in the episode, "Krusty Love," where it is revealed that he was killed by humans and turned into a novelty lightbulb cover for a lamp. SpongeBob says that Mrs. Puff "doesn't like to talk about" what happened to him.

Moe Blowfish[]

Moe Blowfish
Main article: Moe Blowfish

Moe Blowfish is Mrs. Puff's "con man" cousin. He looks almost identical to Mrs. Puff, but he wears a business suit and has a black wig. He has the personality of a swindling TV host. He appears as the main antagonist in the book Fearless, where he hosts a dangerous reality show called "Fearless." It makes its contestants perform scary stunts, like high-speed boat races and jellyfish stings. SpongeBob joins the show, mistaking it for a jellyfish amusement park, and ends up acing every stunt.

Moe has not appeared in the main series, but in the original storyboard for "Lighthouse Louie," an old newspaper is shown where Mrs. Puff's photo is captioned "Bobbi Blowfish." This hints that Mrs. Puff originally had the same last name as Moe.
