Prison guard 1, also known as the guard, is one of the two "Prison guard" incidentals, along with Prison guard 2, who first appears in the episode "Doing Time."
Description[]
He is a thin brown fish with orange lips and orangish-tan fins. He wears a white collared shirt with a green necktie, dark gray pants with a black belt, black shoes, and a dark gray prisoner guard's cap. He also usually holds a dark gray baton.
Alternate design of Prison guard 1
He also has an alternate design that debuted in "Shuffleboarding" where he appears as an olive green colored fish with a visible bright orange dorsal fin, bright orange lips, a beige shirt, bright tan pants and cap, and lacks his natural shades.

Role in series[]
Prison guard 1 has made a few appearances throughout the series. He has mostly been portrayed as a prison guard in most of his appearances. He makes his biggest role yet in his debut appearance, "Doing Time," as the one prison guard that constantly becomes concerned about Mrs. Puff's behavior.

He and Prison guard 2 appear as the two prison guards of the prison that Mrs. Puff was arrested at. He constantly keeps becoming concerned about Mrs. Puff whenever she obsesses about SpongeBob and Patrick trying to break her out of jail. Later when she goes off the deep end by ripping his and Prison guard 2's faces off, he and Prison guard 2 decide to have her go to solitary confinement for a nice long stay.

He appears as the warden of the Bikini Bottom Jail where he tosses a half eaten Krabby Patty in the trash which causes SpongeBob to throw him into the slammer.

He and Angry Jack escort the anchovy trying a Frozen Krabby Patty out of the factory after he notices the side effect that he received after eating it.
