Paul Harrison Tibbitt (born May 13, 1968; age 55) was one of the main SpongeBob SquarePants crew members. After Stephen Hillenburg left the show after the first movie, Tibbitt took over the position of showrunner. He also took over as the voice of Hillenburg's character Potty the Parrot.
After the second movie, he was credited as executive producer for the remainder of season 9. His position as the supervising producer and then the showrunner was succeeded by both Vincent Waller and Marc Ceccarelli in 2015.
Starting with the season 10 premiere episode, "Whirly Brains," Tibbitt is now no longer credited as an executive producer and it has been said that he has no plans to return to the show.[1][2] It is unknown if Tibbitt is still working on It's a Wonderful Sponge since his role as the director and writer was taken over by Tim Hill.
